The aftermath of this tragic event left many famiies mourning for lost members, and 1 million people left homeless. A lot of power lines for electrictys and phones were destroyed as well leaving a lot of people without electricty, clean water, and food.
Due to lack of clean water and food disease like Cholera came and made everyone ill. Some sever cases of injured people were airlifted to hospitals. The UN supplied food and bottled water to those affected and metal detectors and dogs came with search and rescue teams to find anyone trapped in the fallen buildings.
