The countries affecteed by the Tsunami were not just the countries that were hit by the Tsunami, but neighbouring countries had to look after some refugees and supply help. Nearly all the rest of the world helped raise money to supply the countries hit by the Tsunami on that tragic day. The affect on the people that were left without families and homes was sufferd across the world with around 1 million left homeless. The total damage costed around £15.5 billion
An earthquake at a destructive plate boundary is what caused the 2004 Boxing day Tsunami. but due to lack of tsunami warners and just the ability to detected the tsunami being difficult the innocent people that were killed by the tsunami could have been saved. The tsunami did destroy all tsunami defenders in its way.
